This post is a
recollection of magazine scans and their information regarding the visit of
H.O.T. to the city of Los Angeles in March 2000. Most of this is available but
NOT easily findable (specially in English or Spanish), since it took me a lot
of time to find the information, this is because everything was in two Korean blogs,
with almost no text and nothing indicating the existence of information
regarding the HOT concert and fan signing. I had to scroll A LOT, pay attention
and translate with images.

recolección de scans de revistas y su información sobre la visita de H.O.T. a
la ciudad de Los Ángeles en marzo de 2000. La mayoría de esto está disponible
pero NO es facil de encontrar (especialmente en inglés y español) ya que me
llevo mucho tiempo encontrar esta información, más que nada porque todo está en
dos blogs coreanos, con casi nada de texto y nada que indique la existencia de información
acerca del concierto y firma de autógrafos de HOT. Tuve que buscar mucho, poner
atención y traducir con imágenes.
The article is about a
wedding and how certain artists attended (the wedding of Yoo Young Jin, H.O.T's
teacher, singer and producer), but the important thing is that they got
information out and in the section called Hot Scoop 2 it mentions this event by
saying: that after their successful concert in China, H.O.T. will offer a
"love concert" in Los Angeles, all the benefits of this concert will
be donated to the publicity campaign for the eradication of drugs in youth and
the drug prevention campaign in youth love house, as well as the creation of a
welfare center for homeless drug addicts and alcoholics, orphans and other
disadvantaged people. They will travel on March 8th and it will be at the
Western Bonaventure Hotel in LA on March 12th at 7 pm. Sponsored by Ford
Motors. Posters with the image of H.O.T. will be distributed to promote the new
Ford Focus and Mustang products.
El artículo es sobre una boda y
como ciertos artistas asistieron (la boda de Yoo Young Jin, maestro de H.O.T's,
cantante y productor), pero lo importante es que sacaron información y en la sección
llamada hot scoop 2 menciona este
evento diciendo: que tras su exitoso concierto de china, H.O.T. ofrecerá un ”concierto
de amor” en Los Ángeles, todos los beneficios de este concierto se donarán a la
campaña de publicidad para la erradicación de las drogas en la juventud y a la campaña
de prevención de drogas en la juventud love house, así como la creación de un
centro de bienestar para personas sin hogar drogadictos y alcohólicos, huérfanos
y otras personas desfavorecidas. Viajarán el 8 de marzo y va a ser en el hotel
western bonaventure de LA el 12 de marzo a las 7 pm. Patrocina Ford motors. Se
distribuirán carteles con la imagen de H.O.T. para promocionar los nuevos
productos de Ford focus y Mustang.

The Afternoon H.O.T
Was Praised With Love and Support by Their Fans
US... On March 11, 2pm at ORANGE FAN SHOP, HOT's autograph session
began. Although the session started 1hour and 3 minutes later than scheduled,
500 fans patiently waited for HOT's arrival. The fans were not only Korean, but
Japanese, Chinese, and American. The weather was hot and made the members
restless, but gave their signs patiently and friendly. They sat in the order :
Woo Hyuk, Kang Ta, Hee Jun, Jae Won, Tony.. and asked the fans their names.
During the session, Tony had a bag by his feet (carried by SM's Kim Kyong Wook)
was mysteriously stolen. Inside the bag contained Kang Ta and Jae Won's
passports and air tickets, 7000 American dollars, and paperwork. The passport
and ticket were easily replaced by temporary materials, but the paperwork that
was stolen were very important. Because of the stolen bag, HOT's plans to go
shopping were cancelled and only attended Woo Hyuk's friend's wedding.

EE. UU.... El 11 de
marzo, a las 2 p. m. en ORANGE FAN SHOP, comenzó la sesión de autógrafos de
HOT. Aunque la sesión comenzó una hora y tres minutos más tarde de lo previsto,
500 fans esperaron pacientemente la llegada de HOT. No solo eran coreanos, sino
también japoneses, chinos y estadounidenses. El calor inquietó a los miembros,
pero dieron autógrafos con paciencia y amabilidad. Se sentaron en el orden: Woo
Hyuk, Kang Ta, Hee Jun, Jae Won, Tony... y preguntaron a los fans sus nombres.
Durante la sesión, Tony tenía una bolsa a sus pies (llevada por Kim Kyong Wook
de SM) que fue robada misteriosamente. Dentro de la bolsa contenía los
pasaportes y boletos de avión de Kang Ta y Jae Won, 7000 dólares
estadounidenses y documentación. El pasaporte y el boleto se reemplazaron
fácilmente por materiales temporales, pero la documentación robada era muy
importante. Debido al robo de la bolsa, los planes de HOT de ir de compras se
cancelaron y solo asistieron a la boda de un amigo de Woo Hyuk.

The cover says 2) concert in LA
The second page mentions that there's content about an autograph signing and a concert in Los Angeles.
The third page only mentions that a bag was stolen at the autograph signing, that there was a benefit concert at that hotel, and that fans from Japan and China were also there. The photos below are from the autograph signing.
