Decidí compartirlo no solo porque sea de los primeros del sitio, sino porque me pareció fascinante como al inicio era claramente un sitio de chismes por el lenguaje que usa y más como blog o sitio de chismes pero personal, siendo muy subjetivo. Decidí compartir este porque me pareció una buena mirada a los chismes y artistas más comentados de esa época.  La imagen es el original en inglés, y aquí lo pase en escrito y abajo esta la traducción al español. En esta ocasión, dejé también los comentarios.

R&B Star Tim, a former gangster?

Tim, 26, the singer known for his songs “I Love You” and “I Was Thankful,” has confessed on the hit SBS TV show “Yah Shim Man Man,” that when he attended middle school in the US, he used to be a gang member.  “All of my close friends were in that gang,” the former gangster said.  “And so, after awhile, I found myself to also be a part of the gang.”

However, Tim made sure the truth of his ‘gang history’ came clear.  “I was the one who tried to stop the fights from occurring,” Tim said.  “I was the ‘nice gangster.’”

The R&B singer claimed that when he no longer wanted to be a part of the gang, they had freely let him go.  Most gangs don’t let members just leave.  They either beat that person to a pulp, or that person must hide from the gang for the rest of their life.

Who knows, maybe it was Tim’s “kind and loving” persona that touched the hearts of his gangster buddies.  Or maybe he sang them a few love songs… In any regards, please welcome the Korean GangSTAR (Denzel/Frank Lucas - WATCH YO’ BACK!).

^Probably just a group of friends & calling it a gang to make himself look like a tough guy… I mean no one can really validate or deny saying he really was / wasn’t in a gang.

¿Tim, estrella de R&B, un ex gánster?

Tim, de 26 años, cantante conocido por sus canciones "I Love You" y "I Was Thankful", confesó en el exitoso programa de SBS "Yah Shim Man Man" que, cuando estudiaba secundaria en Estados Unidos, fue miembro de una pandilla. "Todos mis amigos cercanos pertenecían a esa pandilla", dijo el exgánster. "Y así, después de un tiempo, descubrí que yo también formaba parte de ella".

Sin embargo, Tim se aseguró de que la verdad sobre su pasado pandillero quedara clara. "Yo era quien intentaba evitar las peleas", dijo Tim. "Yo era el 'gánster amable".

El cantante de R&B afirmó que cuando dejó de querer ser parte de la pandilla, lo dejaron ir sin problema. La mayoría de las pandillas no permiten que sus miembros se vayan sin más. O lo golpean hasta dejarlo hecho papilla, o debe esconderse de la pandilla para el resto de su vida.

Quién sabe, quizás fue la personalidad "amable y cariñosa" de Tim lo que conmovió a sus amigos pandilleros. O quizás les cantó algunas canciones de amor... En cualquier caso, denle la bienvenida a la estrella coreana de las pandillas (Denzel/Frank Lucas - WATCH YO’ BACK!)

Filadelfia es un sitio peligroso, pero el tipo no parece tener el físico para ser un gánster... se ve súper cuadrado... Puede que me equivoque, pero todas sus acciones me demuestran que no es un gánster, jaja.

 

KPOP’s Sexiest Females – ALLKPOP 2007

While Korea’s male heartthrobs seem to be the ones hitting it big in Asia, their female counterparts certainly deserve all the same attention.  With K-Pop seeming to attract fans the world over, Korea’s singing beauties couldn’t be that far behind.

Who’s on your sexiest list?  Here’s ours:

Lee Hyolee or (Hyori) is widely recognized as Korean music’s sex symbol and is the highest-paid female singer in the country.  Apart from her recordings, Hyori has done numerous modelling stints, most recently being the first Asia-wide model for Calvin Klein Jeans. With a perpetually young-looking face and a perfect S-line contour, the 28-year old seems poised to hold the title for the next few years.

Ivy is an extremely cute 25-year old artist with a sultry singing voice, lending itself well to hushed dance songs and sexy rhythms.  Her early steamy music videos established her as one of the country’s most attractive musicians.  She recently placed in the Top 10 poll of Korea’s Sexiest Stars by Movie Week magazine.

Chae Yeon who originally debuted in Japan on January 1, 2001 as part of a group called Brand New Biscuits has been climbing up the ranks in Korea ever since her Debut late in 2003.  She was viewed as just another “sexy concept” singer at first, but has since been able to increase and maintain her popularity as well as image as one of Korea’s sexiest stars. After all, with a body like hers, how could she not be considered sexy?

Eugene is another gorgeous singer and actress, originally a part of the successful K-Pop group S.E.S.  Although vocally weaker than her counterparts, her superior looks kept her on as the face of the girl band, used extensively in their marketing and advertising efforts.  After the group’s break-up, she shed her girl-next-door image and took on a successful solo singing career as a one of Korea’s sexiest performers.

Other notables on our list include Sol Bi from girl group Typhoon, whose cute face and well-endowed curves are a definite stunner.  There’s also the Wonder Girls’ new member, 19-year old Kim Yu Bin, seemingly destined to make men stand up and pay attention.  Former Baby Vox waif Lee Hee-Jin recently gained some meat and released a photo book of sexy shots, definitely getting her on our top list if she ever decides to record again.

It’s an easy task finding sexy singers in Korea, especially with beauty-filled girl groups taking a large chunk of radio and TV airtime this year.  Instead, it’s a mountainous undertaking to choose your favorites.  While K-Pop’s hunky stars may be the ones getting noticed today, it’s only a matter of time before these girls take their figures to the rest of Asia’s magazine covers.

Si bien los ídolos coreanos parecen ser los que triunfan en Asia, sus contrapartes femeninas sin duda merecen la misma atención. Con el K-Pop atrayendo a fans de todo el mundo, las bellezas cantantes coreanas no podrían quedarse atrás.

Lee Hyolee o (Hyori) es ampliamente reconocida como el símbolo sexual de la música coreana y la cantante mejor pagada del país. Sus primeros y sensuales videos musicales la consolidaron como una de las artistas más atractivas del país. Recientemente, figuró en el Top 10 de las Estrellas Más Sexys de Corea, según la revista Movie Week.

Chae Yeon, quien debutó en Japón el 1 de enero de 2001 como parte del grupo Brand New Biscuits, ha ido escalando posiciones en Corea desde su debut a finales de 2003. Al principio, era considerada simplemente una cantante de "concepto sexy", pero desde entonces ha logrado aumentar y mantener su popularidad, así como su imagen como una de las estrellas más sexys de Corea. Otras celebridades destacadas en nuestra lista incluyen a Sol Bi, del grupo femenino Typhoon, cuyo rostro adorable y curvas bien dotadas son una auténtica maravilla. También está Kim Yu Bin, la nueva integrante de Wonder Girls, de 19 años, quien parece destinada a llamar la atención de los hombres. Lee Hee-Jin, la delgaducha de Baby Vox, ganó algo de carne recientemente y ha publicado un álbum de fotos sensuales, lo que sin duda la coloca en nuestra lista de las favoritas si alguna vez decide volver a grabar.

Encontrar cantantes sensuales en Corea es fácil, especialmente con los grupos femeninos de gran belleza que acaparan gran parte del espacio en radio y televisión este año. This edition of Sweet had 3 pages that caught my attention. The first one has two outfits, an all pink one and an all-white one; I choose this scan because I totally loved the pink one. The second scan just has one outfit that I totally loved, specially the gray skirt. And finally, the last scan of this months Sweet features one outfit that I really liked with a long black skirt and a beautiful beige jacket.

Esta edición de la Sweet tuvo 3 páginas que me llamaron la atención. La tiene dos outfits, uno todo rosa y otro todo blanco; escogí esta scan en particular porque amé el rosa. La segunda scan solo tiene un outfit que me encantó por completo, en especial la falda gris. Y por último, la ultima scan de este mes de la Sweet muestra un outfit que me gustó mucho, el cual lleva una falda larga negra y una chaqueta beige hermosa.

This edition of Sweet had 6 pages that caught my attention. The first one is a makeup look and hairstyle in k-pop style according to the magazine; the second highlights the brand Givenchy in the boots and handbag; the three next scans focus on the trend of wearing ballerina like shoes and options in different brands like puma, jw pei and adidas. The last scan is just one of an outfit I liked.

Esta edición de la Sweet tuvo 6 páginas que me llamaron la atención. La primera es un look de maquillaje y peinado en estilo k-pop, de acuerdo a la revista; la segunda muestra la marca Givenchy en botas y bolsa; las siguientes tres scans se enfocan en la tendencia de usar zapatos como de bailarina y opciones en diferentes marcas como puma, jw pei y adidas. La última scans es solo una de un outfit que me gustó.

This edition of Mini had 14 pages that I saved, and 12 of them are of the girl group NiziU: Maya, Riku, Nina and Miihi. There weren’t really that many scans about fashion that caught my attention, only two pages and only two outfits that I liked.

Esta edición de la Mini tuvo 14 páginas que guardé, y 12 de ellas son del grupo de chicas NiziU: Maya, Riku, Nina and Miihi. No hubo muchas scans de moda que me llamaran la atención, solo dos páginas y solo dos outfits que me gustaran.

This edition of CanCam had eleven pages that caught my attention. The first three scans have an outfit I liked in each one; as you can see, this magazine has more of a casual/ elegant style. In the 4^th page mi favorite outfit is the one in the middle with the light blue sweater and in the 5^th is the one with long black boots and cap. The next two scans are of a way more classy and elegant style than the previous ones, and in the next one with four outfits you can see that the trend is light blue and white. The last three scans have my favorite outfits from the bunch, especially that all pink outfit, love it.

Esta edición de la CanCam tuvo once páginas que me llamaron la atención. Las primeras tres scans tienen cada una un outfit que me gusto; como pueden ver, esta revista tiene un estilo general mas casual y elegante. En la 4ta página mi outfit favorito es el de en medio, con el suéter azul claro y en la 5ta es el que lleva botas negras largas y gorra. Las siguientes dos scans son con un estilo mucho más clásico y elegante que las anteriores, y en la siguiente con los cuatro outfits se puede ver que la tendencia es el azul claro con blanco. Las últimas tres scans tienen mis outfits favoritos de todos, en especial ese outfit todo rosa, me encanta.

This edition of ar had seven pages that caught my attention. In total we have knit, denim and red as the main trends. The first one is an outfit with a knit top in blue as well as the trend of denim in the jeans and red in the sneakers. The rest, as you can see, are about red combined with other colors: gray, navy, peach pink.

Esta edición de la ar tuvo siete páginas que me llamaron la atención. En total tenemos tejido, mezclilla y rojo como las tendencias principales. El primero es un outfit con un top de tejido en azul al igual que la tendencia de la mezclilla en el pantalón y rojo en los tenis. EL resto, como pueden ver, son de combinaciones de rojo con otros colores: gris, azul marino y rosa durazno.

This edition of Very had five pages that caught my attention. In total we have five outfits which shows the use of black and white plaid in skirts, jackets and tops, and everything in black and white with a minimal pop of color.

Esta edición de la Very tuvo cinco páginas que me llamaron la atención. En total tenemos cinco outfits que muestran el uso de cuadros blanco y negro en faldas, chaquetas y tops, y todo en blanco y negro con un mínimo uso de toque de otros colores.
